Day 97 & 98: April 7, 2014

Thankfulness for My Bed

My bed is pretty awesome. While I’ve always wanted to own a Tempurpedic mattress, my bed really helps me sleep well.

After spending nearly 2 weeks on my People Puddle futon downstairs, I slept like a rock!

And then I woke up to this silly cat looking exactly like I felt: relaxed, lazy and rested.

Tomorrow is my halfway mark of chemo treatments. Days like today are always bittersweet. I feel my absolute best only to shudder at the thought of how the next 6 or so days are going to be. They suck. Totally. However…

I will only have 6 treatments to go after this one is done! The time has flown by so fast this time around. I attribute this to the amazing opportunities that have been given to me during this time of getting to do some really cool stuff, mostly because I get to JUST be a mom and not a working mom, I’ve gotten to be the co-host of the Reno Tahoe Tonight Show with Oliver Ex, meet cool people, work on my book and take time just for me, which has been a long time coming.

Thank you Bed, for your ability to help me feel rested and ready to face tomorrow and all of the next 6 treatments. Thank you, Cancer, for giving me blessings despite my love-hate relationship with You.

Life is so good, people. If anyone has time today to come over and help me with my counter full of nasty dishes (the dishwasher isn’t working well) and to chat over a huge pile of laundry, hit me up. People and meaningful conversation really fills my love tank, so let me know if you want to be here on this beautiful Reno day.
