Day 124: May the 4th (Be With You)

Thankfulness for Mindfulness, Being in the Moment and The Force.

I post a lot about that, so I realize I may sound like a broken record to some, but I Just Can’t Help It!

So this post is your Mindfulness Bell. It’s taken from that bell that rings which is inspired by the teaching of Thich Nhat Hanh. Many people around the world take pleasure in stopping and consciously breathing in and out three times when they hear the sound of the bell. And you think about the moment you are in. What are you thinking about? Right now?

I am thinking about Soup. One of the reasons I’m thinking about it is because I snarfed down some of my favorite soup EVER when I got home a couple of hours ago. And I ate too much of it. I can still taste it every time I burp. Thank you, Misty Rea. I don’t want you to make it again without making some for me, too!

Soup also reminds me of Kristen A. Gil. She came by today and brought me some delicious lentil soup that will really help me out this week during chemo. Soup seems to be a way that has brought some really special people into my life… both of them included. It’s really cool the connections we all have and how The Force is using this time in my life to have your stories, ladies, along with mine, meld and help us all make sense of the complicated things that Love and Relationships bring into life. Kathy V. Baldock and Thomas A. Wallek are a part of it, too, and I’m thinking God is pretty neato these days. Spirituality is not like it used to be, but I like it even more than I used to. It’s bigger and better than I could have ever imagined.

So, Soup is what I’m thinking about. I am thankful for The Force, for mindfulness and for relationships.

I think life is pretty souper. So are you.

Love, May the 4th Be With You

P.S. The mindfulness bell in the picture would double as an excellent soup bowl. Just sayin’.
